We have had a Red Dawn with the North Korea's and one with the Chinese, is the next one with the ISIS or the Cartels?

The second was regarding North Korea, but easy to understand you making that mistake.

I laughed....

The Russians had thousands of fusion bombs. ISIS none. They need to be squashed, but they aren't anywhere close to the dangers of socialism. The most evil phrase in the history of man is: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.

Isis is a joke. We are legitimizing them with every news broadcast we put out. They are simply thugs who's time will be brief but fantastical in nature. They are all about shock value and propaganda. Want to poop in your soup? Watch the documentary called "Citizen four".

I love Isis, they are recruiting all these freaks out civilized society into one place where we can dispose of them properly. Better those freaks all go over there then to walk into our schools and theaters and killing innocent people.

I'll tell you this.... I've read every book I can about Beslan, that school that the chechin guys stormed in southern Russia and killed all those kids....

Isis, or Muslim terrorists as a whole don't have the guts to pull that off in Texas. If they were to try it, it would be at a super soft target, in a state with very restricted gun laws, and away from an urban area with known gang problems. That rules out most of your major cities. Something like that will happen in new Hampshire or Vermont or east of Frisco where there is little or no gun culture. These guys are dumb, but they aren't stupid. They don't want to shoot it out with the cops AND the crips.

And they damn sure don't want to roll into Wichita Falls and get their ass shot off in the parking lot by the kids who keep their deer rifle under the back seat of their pick up truck.

Some on here think we should invite ISIS to dinner and kiss them on each cheek. Love those savages.

Isis is a bunch of thugs. What they are doing is getting very close to pissing off the muslim world. Jordon and Egypt are now vowing revenge against them and Saudi will always be against them. What I heard is that some of the clerics are speaking out against them. Seems they woke up one day and realized that 99% of the victims of Isis violence were muslims. If they isolate themselves from their own people, they wont last long in the world. We may have a few incidents, but they wouldnt have a great deal of luck here.

I love Texas as much as the next Texan which mean A LOT, but Ft Hood is in Texas is it not? There have been many killings of multiple people in Texas over the years. Texas is not immune to murder any more than any other state.

Really? Who? Most people on here said that isis and the other terrorists should be eradicated. The difference in some of us is we dont think we should kill 1.4 billion people to get a few (hell I will say hundred thousand) which is how I was raised in Texas. You kill the bad guys. If the logic you have were to be true there would be no Japanese or Germans in the world, we would have just killed them all. If you claim to be Christian fizzwilly then you might want to read some of that Bible you think you know so well. I told you once there is not a U.S. heaven and then another heaven for everybody else, same goes for race. We are ALL Gods children.

Never thought of it like that. It does make some sense. Better than the "KILL THEM ALL" crew who I will never understand. I'm a huge fan of the second amend. by the way. I love my guns and I will keep my guns.

ISIS knows that we will never resort to a "kill them all" campaign, and that's why when challenged they will set themselves up amongst innocent civilians, hospitals, and schools. It's just how they roll.

Unfortunately it is Western Civilization......or a future of backward Dark Ages mentality that we must choose between. There are no other choices as living peacefully amongst others is counter to their ideology. Just ask them, they'll tell you.

My opinion.....we are being baited.

I would like to quote another poster from a previously locked post.

"1.6 Billion. I think I would have HEARD the "moderate majority" by accident - by now. Why they would be simply DEAFENING. They've had since long before 2001 to speak. What I have heard is >

I think the "moderate majority" of muslims are just waiting to see if you are dumb enough to sit and wait for it."

As of now we are being given very little evidence to the contrary. And that is quite telling.

What governs the ability to carry a firearm on Ft. Hood? Is it Texas state law or is regulations directly from the Pentagon?

The best targets for an active shooter are without doubt the places where people are restricted from carrying firearms and Ft. Hood fits that description just like every other army base.

Yes, it is mandated by the DOD not to have arms lying out and about on a base. They are all kept under lock and key in an armory. But a military base is not just filled with SOF guys (special op forces) it's also filled with civilian contractors from all over. Many of them have never seen or handled a gun. And since guns are kept under lock, key, vault door, in a bunker, usually underground but not always.... it takes more than just a few minutes to "Crack open the old safe" and pass out the ammo. That being said, rolling up on my HS back in the late 80's and early 90's with a gun and bad intentions would have earned you a "good luck buddy" from kids I went to school with. For some reason all the kids in my town grew up hunting and we carried guns in our trucks. Hell a few guys had them hanging on racks in their rear window.

I was making a reference to Beslan. You may have heard of it but if you haven't, I highly encourage it. It's considered by most experts to have been a practice run or "blue print" to how al queda plans on doing that at other schools.

I can shoot, I just have that gift, but so did so many other kids at my school because we grew up in dove country and whitetail country where a 400 yd shot was par for the course in Freer. Hell, 2 of my classmates went on to become marine recon snipers. We ALL, and I mean ALL had guns in our vehicles. Even some of the girls had shotguns. We called them the DHC- dove hunting chicks. It was pretty cool, they had tshirts made and what not. I guess I think back wonder if some of those batsh!t crazy bastards had walked into our school they would discover quickly that they'd kicked a hornets nest.

clob...I too have been shooting since 7 or 8 years old. I have many weapons and love to shoot. I mostly target shoot nowadays because I dont like the meat enough to eat it on most wild animals and I wont kill wont I wont eat.

Lots of bravado on here about who can shoot what. The fact is that most if not all would fare piss poorly if presented a real life situation where armed gunmen burst into an area and ordered everyone on the floor. Even if you had a loaded gun holstered when you hit the ground, what would you do?...." how do you shoot the devil in the back?.....what if you miss?"....Kiser Sozi

My son teaches tactics and weapons training to DPS and Law enforcement INSTRUCTORS all over the State and on occasion out of state. He is teaching live combat exercizes in real life situations and he said you cannot believe the number of instructors that have the "perp" actually walk up to them and take their weapon without them getting off a shot.

Personally, I have shot coyotes on the run off hand at 357 yds. I have probably gutted close to 1000 deer ( over 35 years owning ranches and guiding hunts),I have no empathy for my fellow man and dont think I would blink at shooting anyone that did me wrong.......but that is just my ego talking. The truth is that I have no idea how I would react. Nobody does. Frankly, I hope I never have to find out.

Military bases have long controlled guns and even more ammo. If you watch From Here to Eternity, the sgts had to break the locks to get guns and ammo to shoot back at the Japanese. My English professor at the time of the Kent State incident was a West Point graduate. He was horrified that the Natl Guardsmen had ammo. A clear violation of the Riot Act. Incidentally, it was students with deer rifles that stopped Charles Whitman from further damage after the first 20 min or so. I wonder if the citizens are still equipped for that?

Well hearing oldhorn and swvhorn talk, and myself included, I'm quite certain there are at least 3 ppl on the list that are prepared. And oldhorn, I'm in your boat, we have slaughter tags on our ranch and if I never shoot another deer again I would care less. I'm just not mad at them these days. Swvhorn, I'm truly sorry you're not the biggest fan of wild game meat. Brother, I could make you some grilled pheasant that will make you want to slap yo momma. ;)

But back to us armed and dangerous citizens of liberty, the guy that lives next door to me is a retired Rear Admiral. His "hobby" room consists of benches, reloads, brass, gunpowder and all the toys you'd need to successfully invade and conquer Costa Rica. When he showed it to me a few years back I said "admiral, you were in the fvcking navy, on a ship, with missiles and choppers and planes man. What the hell are you doing with all these guns? Why do you have them?"

Admiral-- "By God because I was an Admiral in the United States Navy son. And all Admirals have a hobby."

Trust me oldhorn, we run out of munitions, I've got us a safety net. :)
