It seems as though Sark’s playbook shrinks the second we get in the red zone. Time and again the play calls are mind boggling and we can never seem to capitalize at the most opportune times. As the field shrinks and he has less space to work with, it’s like pulling teeth to call a decent play. We were mere yards away last season from playing for a national championship and he had nothing creative in the final moments of the game. Same thing happened in the SEC championship. The win was there but he threw it away on long developing plays. How can you be a genius with drawing up plays and suddenly, when the field gets smaller, you can’t think of anything to get us in the end zone. The play calling goes cold and shrinkage ensues. Fact of the matter is, we don’t have a kicking game. When you are in the red zone you must get touchdowns. It’s 4 down territory going forward. The only cure is a mobile QB with the ability to improvise when passing plays breakdown. This will cover up the ineptitude in play calling when in the red zone. Lastly, how do you not watch the GT game and see a mobile QB gives Georgia fits and say, “Ok, we need to win this game. Arch you’re in and Ewers, get healthy, we will need you for playoffs.” But, no, you get Arch in for only two plays. Look what happened when they put in a mobile QB when Beck went down. I just don’t get it. Sark needs to be Saban and make the tough decisions to give us the best chance to win.
