...I thought some of you might. Slim and others, I've been here since the beginning, I was with Ketch before then, but this board has too few true fans like it used to and too few gentlemen like it used to. I've made my arguments here lately, trying to be nice, trying to cool people down, trying to get people to be level-headed and most will not do it and I'm sick of it. I can be a fan of Texas without the boorish soccer-fan style of behavior this place has turned in to. Ketch, you don't do enough to police this place and you have your reasons and I'm sure they're business reasons and that's okay. I just cannot listen to this anymore every day. This was a great place to come to every evening to talk about and read about Longhorn sports. That is no longer the case and that is on you and no one else because it's your bar, your booze, and your till. I am not mad at your or even upset with you personally. I just think it's a bad business decision. I'll be back, of course, but not as a regular and not as a supporter like I've always been. This place was the best in the business. Now the business is the best but the place is not. It's like standing next to the drunkest idiots in the stands who can barely walk or talk who are spilling beer all over everyone and are mad and glad all at once and think they are being great fans, when they are the poorest in the stands and just cannot understand why anyone would think otherwise. They want to pass of their behavior as a, let's get rid of so-and-so, reason to act that way. The reality is, if they really knew how to act there are really, really good ways to get their message across that doesn't incite everyone. But they don't either a) don't know how; or b) don't care; or c) know how and don't care and consider themselves above the Texas program and fans, which is what they are accusing Mack Brown of. I have been one of the fans here who all along this year has said that Mack Brown has to go. But I have also said that it must be done so in a dignified way. Because I have said so, the so-called mack-haters think I am a troll or a mack-lover or apologist or whatever or term they have thought up. They have done that not because of the position I have stood for, which is the same as theirs, but because I want to do it in a dignified way, which is not what they want. This is where the boorish, lynch-mob, drunken soccer fan attitude comes in to play and it is what I am sick of. They will say I am stupid, they will say what I have written was so long they didn't read it, they will say I said what I said because I want Mack back, they will say I am a troll, they will I'm lumping people together and that most of them don't belong with that small group of people acting that way. They will say a lot of things, but no one, including you, will step up and stop them. So while they try to separate themselves, no one will step up and stop this smal band of hooligans from ruining this board. I am leaving my account open and I will be back every now and then, but I am through posting as frequently and reading as frequently, when I was a loyal everyday reader since the inception of orangebloods.com and I do not do this lightly. I have kept thinking back and forth about it. I have also thought about this post and I know what the soccer fans here are going to do about it and I thought, well, let them show just how bad they really are one more time. And it really is amazing to me because I am on their side (if their agenda is to have Mack retire). I've stated that. But because I dare to disagree with them in any fashion, then I am not on their side. So just how of an agenda do they have anyway? Anyway, this site was once great. And for you, Ketch, and the others who have worked so hard to bring me all the Longhorn news, I thank you.
