Hey,
I'll be in Austin for the bowl game on the 31st and wondered what the recommendation was for a sports bar near the campus (I'm staying near the campus).
Also, some of you guys remember the story of how my wife took me to the TCU game in Austin last year and we had to trade tickets because her cancer came back and the stadium crew was amazing. Well they emailed me in March to check on her (how amazing is that??? I'm not a donor or someone important). I told them she passed away in Feb and I planned to bring my kids to the Tech game to honor her. Well the Friday before the game I get an email asking if we are coming and how old the kids are. They had a signed hat from TH and hats for the kids along with stadium bucks. I was floored. The lady at the gate that checks bags remembered me (she prayed over my wife at that game a year earlier) and asked how she was. I told her she was gone and she hugged my kids and told them she is now their black godmother. Our stadium people are the most amazing group of people I've ever experienced. I've always been proud to be a Longhorn, but that took it another 20 levels up!! Just wanted to share that!
Now, sports bars in Austin that are the best with the best TV's.............Go............
