The Democratic Party is going to have an interesting couple of years ahead of 2018. These people still don't get it, and instead of taking the past 2 days to work out how they went so wrong, they are still blaming other people.
The lesson of this election seems pretty clear to me; there are a bunch of people around the country with legitimate complaints about the current political climate. I actually don't think either party does a good job of dealing with it, and that comes through in the racial disparity among votes. It turns out that tons of white people understandably felt left behind when they felt like all of the Democratic party's focus was on minority groups. I would imagine that the Dems will do a post-mortem similar to the 2012 Republican study. Will be interesting reading once it's done.
