He's been our s&c for two years now. I was so angry about how that lard *** Jeff Madden drawing a paycheck that I would have settled for anyone. I'm 2000 miles away what do fans back home think of him. You guys get to see him up close.

You just earned a 1-way trip to the pit.

didnt he get Malik up to 242 from 224 without losing any speed or agility? The guy got everyone to add good weight.

I think he also is the guy charged with making sure everyone goes to class....which by the way....our team compiled its best GPA in years if not ever.

Good lord look at that man.. So he's in charge of making sure everyone goes to class? I'd like to see a kid say no coach I ain't going to school.

Do you remember what Jeff Madden looked like? I mean is this man not a breath of fresh air from what we used to have?

I wished I knew the answer to how well Mr.Moorer is doing but I do know that Tcu and Baylor changed their teams in the off-season with a very good strength and conditioning programs.

My take on Moorer is that he is 'old school' and may not have the most modern take on every nuance, but makes up for it in attention to detail. He seems completely no-nonsense, but there's little need for nonsense when you're pushing a 450lb stack of weights.

In one interview (from Louisville) it shows him pressing a pair of 150lb dumbbells for about five reps, so he walks the walk.

At the end of the day, the motivation is on the player, but having someone like Moorer looking over your shoulder probably helps. Likely also shortens the time a player is on the injury list away from practice...

To promote an atmosphere where guys won’t milk their injuries to stay out of practice, he’s devised a workout / torture regiment for injured players that ensures they are back at practice the first day they’re physically able to do so.
