Texas coach Charlie Strong appeared to be open to staff changes during his weekly Big 12 media conference on Monday.

Strong was asked if he would be more involved on defense after the Cal loss and said, "Each coach will be evaluated and we'll see where it goes from there."

On the surface, it appears Strong is contemplating stripping defensive coordinator Vance Bedford of his play-calling duties. At the very least, Strong is contemplating becoming more involved on that side of the ball.

Clearly, there is no need for Strong to be more involved on offense. Texas offensive coordinator Sterlin Gilbert's offense has score at least 40 points in three consecutive games. However, Texas' defense has been a huge issue the past two seasons.

Strong is slated to address the media on Monday at 11 a.m. It will be the only media availability during the bye week. We will see if Strong expands on that comment today.
