Texas freshman receiver DaJon Harrison has opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns, according to my sources.
The former Hutto standout played in nine games in 2019, but sustained a leg injury. Harrison led Hutto with 34 receptions, 734 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, while rushing 21 times for 235 yards (11.2 yards per carry) and two touchdowns as a senior.
In addition, redshirt freshman Kennedy Lewis has not been practicing with the team. Lewis has not officially opted out, but my sources believe he is leaning in that direction.
So far, running back Daniel Young, defensive lineman Marquez Bimage, offensive lineman Willie Tyler and Harrison have opted out.
I will keep you posted.
