I'm interested to see how Clemens looks on the mound today. There was drastic improvement by Sawyer and Hollingsworth this weekend.

Skip Johnson is easily the best pitching coach in the country, so I'm interested to see what adjustments he's made with Clemens.

I feel a little bad for the Gophers. After today, they get to go back to freezing Minnesota weather after enjoying a somewhat decent weekend of weather in Austin.

How's the weather in Austin today? I heard there may be some rain... Are we expecting any type of delay.

Don't feel that bad for Minny. After this game they head home for a couple of days before they are off to Florida to play Florida Gulf Coast for 3. They don't play their first home game till March 24th.

123 first inning for Clemens. A little wild with the first batter, but he settled down.

Johnson lead off single.
Shaw flies out to LF. 1 out guy on 1st.
Hinojosa pops up to SS. 2 outs guy on 1st.
Johnson steals second.
Barrera walks. Johnson steals third. Guys on the corners with 2 outs.
2 RBI triple by Marlow. 2-0 Texas.
Boswell strikes out.

2-0 Texas after 1.

Cantu flies out to CF. 1 out.
Gurwitz walks. Guy on 1st with 1 out.
Something isn't right with the Minnesota pitcher. Pitching change for Minnesota. This game isn't going to finish by 4. They will call it early because of travel rules. This is taking forever.

Mathis walks. Guy on 1st and 2nd with 1 out.
Double steal. Guy on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out.
Johnson strikes out. Guy on 2nd and 3rd, 2 outs.
Wild pitch. 3-0 Texas. Guy on 3rd with 2 outs.
Shaw doubles, damn that's his 5th double of this series. 4-0 Texas.
Shaw steals 3rd.
Hinojosa walks. Guy on the corners with 2 outs. No way this is finishing by 4.

Holy crap Clemens just made a damn good play in the top of the 3rd. He was a little wild in the 3rd but doesn't give up anything.

Mathis grounds out to the pitcher. 1 out.
Johnson infield single. Guy on 1st with 1 out.
Shaw singles. Guy on 1st and 2nd with 1 out.
Hinojosa flies out to RF. Johnson tags up to 3rd. Guys on the corners with 2 outs.
Barrera grounds out to 3rd.

7-0 Texas after 3.

Clemens through 4. Still a few command issues but much better outing so far today. 7-0 Texas.

Clemens through 5, only given up 1 hit. A little wild at times, but they aren't getting much contact once he finds the zone.

Johnson lead off single. Now leads the nation in hits, he's absolutely ripping the ball.

Jeff Howe tweet:

When asked about his 2015 team, Augie Garrido said it's the best the #Longhorns have had since the 2002-2005 run, which included 2 NCs.
