The season isn't over yet. College fb always saves is best for last, the Army/Navy game. There are so many things to love about this game. College fb more than anything else is about tradition and no rivalry has more than this game. Here are just a few.

It's the only rivalry where both teams stand for the others alma mater the winning team gets to pay theirs last. In fact when one of the academies plays against another team the other team stands respectfully.

To many teams and a&m is the worst example try to start a neutral site rivalry like the RRR. But the Army/Navy can match it when the game is in Philadelphia. When its played there its almost the same distance from each Academy. Just like the RRR.

Speaking of the RRR, the Army/Navy game is the sober version lol.

Best of all even a liberal Democrat like me is captivated when I see the long gray line from West Point, and the Brigade of Midshipmen march into the Stadium.

It's the one game worth watching even if you don't have a dog in the hunt.

Cali, I'm glad you admit you're a flaming lib. Props to you for that. Yes it is a great tradition. Seeing those future leaders out there banging away at each other for usually nothing more than pride, is super cool.

With that said, navy owns army of late.

Back to your flaming lib tendencies, the first step to solving your problem is admitting you have one. Good for you! Perhaps SWVAHORN and myself can convince you to become more of a centrist like we are.

Lol. I can assure you I think ISIS, is just as evil as anyone and they have to be destroyed. Let's leave it at that so this thread won't get locked. You know I'm trying to be self deprecating about myself. It's meant like all fb fans usually get behind this game. I hope this thread stays on track now that I've said it.

I'm with you guys, I'll be in tears and bursting with pride when America's Finest march into the stadium and when the teams take the field. Our country need more young people like these and fewer like Jamis Winston and Joe Mixon among others.

Army has done much lately, but Navy has been a solid program under Johnson and Niumatalolo. Beat Notre Dame 3 of 4 from 2007-10. Other than 5-7 in 2011, Navy has won at least 8 games every year since 2003. Not many programs can claim that. And AFA with their option offense, has posted .500 or better in 26 of the last 33 years.

And if Navy had beaten Houston two weeks ago I think we would have gotten an at large spot in one of the NYS bowls.

I try not to miss it.There is not a lot of great talent on the field but players have such heart and spirit that it is remains unmatched by most college games.Navy has a four year starting QB that will be tough for the Army team to beat and they want to beat Navy so bad..
