Kids are dropping like flies with these viruses, and my son has been sick all weekend. He has strep throat, the flu, and a high fever (103.5 yesterday). This weekend has been miserable.
Here are a few gripes from a very grumpy dad who has gotten very little sleep since Friday:
- How the heck does he get the flu after receiving the flu shot on Monday?
- Why did the doctor at the walk-in clinic leave the job without returning my phone call after I told the receptionist I needed something other than penicillin called into the pharmacy since my son is allergic to it? Would have been great to start those strep throat antibiotics yesterday.
- Driving around town with a sick kid because there are a limited number of doctors and pharmacies who take open market insurance is ridiculous. It was a three hour process (If you mention Trump or Obama, I will shank you like we're in a prison yard this morning).
