I would dearly love to see an upset this week. Maybe NW over tOSU probably not but there's always hope.

FL over AL? Doubtful but I'd love to see it.

OR/SC big deal the winner should consider themselves lucky if they manage to get in an NY6 bowl game.

ND/Clemson best matchup of the weekend by far. It took ND 2 ot's to beat Clemson without Trevor Lawrence. Can somebody beat Clemson twice in 1 season? This is a tossup.

OK/ISU you know OK has more talent than ISU. But ISU is the best coached team this year. They are this year's Baylor. However they have a better team than Baylor because they have a better offense.

You know LR said this week that ISU has a spread offense but in their spread they use their te's sometimes all 3 are on the field. They're all at least 6'5" and the biggest one of them all, Charlie Kolar, is 6'7" 270 lbs. And if he catches a pass and gets a 5 yard head start one man can not bring him down alone you can ask our secondary about that. Breece Hall is one of the best rb's in the country. Brock Purdy has the best pump fake since Vince Young. Their defense is good led by Mike Rose.

OK is OK

But right now ISU has played better. OK has improved since they lost to ISU but it's a better ISU team than the one that beat OK in October. They are on a roll. Matt Campbell hasn't just beaten TX twice he's beaten OK twice as well. Think of this for a minute in 5 years he's already beaten OK as many times as Mike Gundy has in 16. He's also beaten OK more times than TH. I mean this is ISU were talking about.

ISU had only beaten OK 5 times in 80+ games before MC showed up and now he's won twice would have been 3 if he had made a 2 point conversion last year. MC just coaches without any thought of ISU's history. As far as he's concerned he has a winning record against OK. What I'll be watching for on Saturday morning is will ISU play tight? Will they be thinking about their past too much? Under MC they haven't but this is the Big XII title game and OK has won 5 in a row and will be going for #6 on Saturday. So their experience advantage is huge.

But if ISU doesn't play tight they should win a close one.

Blow U has improved on D as the season has moved along, and Rattler is now a 10 game veteran with a tough RB. Gooners win comfortably.

Clemson ND a toss up? Only if you are looking at the betting line. Clemson went to double OT without the best player in the country - surely this is a 10 point win.

tOSU in a cakewalk.

Alabama - is the SEC weak, or, incredibly, is this Saban's best team?

Regardless, I like all four favorites to cover.

OU wins easily. Clemson by 10 over ND. OSU by 21+ over NW.

Aggie is left out of the playoffs and it gives me something to smile about in this god awful football season for my Horns and Cowboys.

Man, I feel for you, but at least there may be hope for the Horns. As long as Jerry runs the Cowboys, they will likely suck.

They just got hit with the injury bug bad this year. Losing your QB and 4 of 5 starters on the offensive line killed them. Still no excuses for the defense though.
If they get the line healthy next year and Dak back they will be an 8-10 win team again. Potentially having a top 5 pick is only going to help them as well.

I hear you, but none of that addresses the root cause of their problems...

Jerry will still be calling the shots.

I agree with that to an extent. I think the root of Jerry’s problem is being to loyal. Like holding on to Jason Garrett for 10 years. And giving Zeke an extension when he still had 2 years left on his contract. They have 2 10+ win seasons the last 4 years so it’s not like they are far off.

Fwiw

The Big XII team was announced today. TX had 2 which is as good as can be expected. Surprisingly OK only had 3 and one of them was the kicker. But ISU dominated with 8 players including the Big XII o and d player of the year and o newcomer of the year. What will this mean on Saturday? Maybe ISU has a better chance than we think they do.

If ISU beats OU and there is an upset they could actually make the playoff that’s insane.

ou does a good job of finishing strong every year. I think they win another Big 12. Meanwhile Texas fans at home watching our rival on tv and singing "here we are again mixing misery and gin". (A song I happen to like a lot, btw)

well since all 3 of the ou selects were on offense, i think it means you disrespected a bunch of guys on the ou defense (at least that's what i'd use if i was lincoln riley)

Tonight's OR/SC game was the sloppiest game I've seen all year. There's no denying that OR was clearly the better team. But they should have executed better than they did.

But USC was embarrassing. If you thought our ol leaves something to be desired did any of you see SC's tonight? To be fair OR has one of the best dl's in the country. And tonight Kayvon Thibodeaux why he was the nation's number 1 recruit in '19. But SC has as bad an ol as I've seen this year. That kid from Katy that signed with SC on Wednesday must be wondering what kind of ol will be blocking for him the next few years. He will also have Graham Harrell calling plays did you see how bad that SC rb was tonight? He's even slower than me and believe me that's saying a lot 😂. Their ol also got called for countless penalties.

Although their d wasn't as bad you could see the Todd Orlando effect countless penalties including 2 on third down and a dumb personal foul. And a foolish running into the punter on 4th and 3.

SC has gotten lucky this year and tonight they ran out of luck. Now I see why they don't like Clay Helton.

Onto to the Big XII and Big X tomorrow 🌅

Anyone else lose ABC besides me in the Austin area if you have U-verse?
Lots of games on ABC today.

How can Ohio state have 22 players out for today’s game possibly due to COVID and not be canceled, but we only had a handful against Kansas and it was?
Hypocrisy, and shameful for what the big 10 has done to bow and bend their rules to get them into the cfp. I hope NW takes them down.

Because at tOSU winning is everything no matter what the cost

ISU is playing to tight. I can't believe this guy Alvarez is now our lead referee. He's calling this game for OK the way he did for OSU when we played them. But ISU better get it together real quick or this game will. be over by halftime.

Yeah that must be it  =)roll

Wow, Trey Sermon, a transfer from blowu, goes for 330yds today, a osu game rushing record.
Guess they didn’t need those 22 corona players.

Trey had a great day and I hope all of Sooner Nation is happy for him. Last year Jalen Hurts took a lot of carries away from our running backs. He decided to transfer and luckily for him he gets to go on to CFP.

I see a lot of Trey in Bjian, so hopefully with a decent OL, he can perform like this. He definitely has the potential.
But I also see Unicorns.

But, to OMA's point, we need a decent line for Bijan.
I just can't see Hand delivering...

Oh f with Clemson blowing out the Golden Domers this means the cow college will be in the playoffs. My favorite team is the Texas Longhorns. My second favorite team is whoever is playing ND. But if they get chosen over the cow college I'll be relieved.

I posted that there was no question going into the game that OK was better than ISU and that they had a big advantage in title game experience. But I posted that if ISU could avoid playing tight and not play like they remembered their past that they had a chance. But that's what happened in the first quarter and a half. By the time ISU settled in and scored a td it was already 17/0. Then OK runs a kickoff back to the 35 and scores 3 plays later.

You know in the last 2 1/2 quarters ISU's defense played well. I mean if you can hold OK's offense to 3 points and 164 yards like ISU did in the 2nd half you're doing great. They did well in limiting yac. And their offense got some momentum in the 2nd half. Breece Hall started playing better and Charlie Kollar was a stud. But Brock Purdy did not play at all like the guy who was the the Big XII first team qb. He made terrible decisions on those 2 interceptions on one of them a receiver was wide open. He was off target on other throws. And not once did he use that pump fake which has made him so effective this year.

OK's ol is so good. And combined with a qb who can extend plays it's almost impossible to get a sack. And their ol keeps getting better they will probably sign a 5* ol out of VA in Feb. And they've already signed other elite ol this week. It's frustrating when you're the other team.

And then there's the experience advantage. On OK's fg drive the ball was just over the defenders out stretched hand and in triple coverage no less. On the 2nd td drive on one play it bounced off 2 ISU defenders into the hands of an OK receiver who was laying on the ground. And once again ready to take advantage of 2 bad throws. Only 2 scores after it was 17/0 but it was all they needed. Experience.

And it's disappointing when you see not just LR but his offensive coaching staff that gives them such a huge advantage over everyone else in the Big XII. That offensive recruiting gets better every year and this year they will probably sign a 5* rb in Feb.

Oh well
