I define character as who you are when no one else is looking. Reputation is what you are in the eyes of those who can see you. Of course, our Creator sees us at all times. We can’t hide anything from Him.
Imagine how strong your character can grow if you stay in communication with Him daily? Sure, at times we all can slip up, even if we know He’s watching, but the more we stay close, the less chance we will do something to tarnish our character.
I submit that if your character is intact, your reputation will most likely reflect it. Even if it doesn’t, who’s approval would you cherish more, our Creator’s or the world?
