There were multiple social videos posts showing Texas football players returning to the athletic facility on Monday. Considering voluntary workouts begin on June 15, I checked in with my sources to find out about the activities on Monday.

Those players were participating in mandatory Covid-19 testing, according to my sources. In addition to the testing, they took physicals and had blood work done.

I also learned players who report on June 15 will need to undergo the same mandatory testing to enter the athletic facility.

It takes between 24 to 72 hours to receive the Covid-19 test results. Staff members should know if anybody tested positive at some point this week.

Here are the other safety precautions being implemented:

- Coaches and support staff will wear masks and practice social distancing around players. Testing for Covid-19 will occur if they become symptomatic.

- Players will lift outdoors in three makeshift weight rooms at Frank Denius Fields.

I will keep you posted.
