I wonder what Santa Anna's take would be on unrestrained immigration. He let immigration go unchecked in what is now Texas, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada. He lost what is almost 1/3 of the US. How did it work out for Mexico's interests with immigrants from a foreign country taking over a huge area of what Mexico use to be? Just thinking about what his view would be on today's immigration situation. Maybe this is Mexico's way of taking back what use to be their territories. What is your take on how he would view today's situation. It would be interesting to hear his thoughts.
