It may be different in the big city. But, I have lately just sat back and tried to observe interactions between people of different skin tone. Mainly, in grocery stores, eateries, the 1st hs football game, etc. Now, this is in rural East Texas, mind you. I have yet to see anyone treated wrongly, based on their skin tone. In fact, all have treated each other, friendly and graciously. I guess it's what in one's heart....

California never had slaves. But they did discriminate against asians for decades. My father claimed that his father told him "stay away from California, they treat the n..... better than you." I do believe that Jimmy Carter owes reparations to the descendants of the slaves that they owned. Let him, his children, his grandchildren sell all that they have and give to the blacks.

As to what you said....Everyone knows California was not a slave state. This did not stop their lawmakers from trying to find a way to make reparations to all decendents of slaves. As far as people moving from California to avoid having to pay for this....If that really happened, 10 times that number would move there to try and collect.
