Seems to be a pretty similar situation.
Got 1 candidate that people seem to be excited about (Gillum in their case, Beto here) and that guy is lifting everyone else in the same party, Nelson over Scott etc.
Yet in Texas you have Abbott up 20, no data whatsoever to suggest that the governor race won’t be a blowout, and yet Cruz supposedly has only a modest lead? Is Valdez going to make it close with Abbott even though no polls say it?
The only way that’s true is if you think there’s a big population out there that votes for Abbott and Beto on the same ballot. Have a hard time believing many would do such a thing
