Seriously, McConnell's Super Pac took 3.5 million from Leonid Blavatnik (I realize he's Ukrainian, but he's one of Putin's favored oligarchs) and millions more dollars in campaign contributions were given by the Russians to Paul Ryan and other Republicans. What did the Russians expect in return? Was it the repeal of the sanctions against Russian aluminum company RusAl (which is still owned by one of Vladimir Putin’s sanctioned oligarchs, Oleg Deripaska) that McConnell and 41 other Republican Senators voted to overturn last week?
Do you guys think that foreign nationals should be allowed to pump millions of dollars into the campaign coffers of United States senators and congressmen?
