Now being reported that the U.S. Navy may have known within seconds of the implosion of the Titan submersible. Could not go public due to the extreme secrecy of the equipment used to detect it. There will surely be more information about this to come. Apparently since they knew there would be no survivors there was no need to disclose immediately but they did inform higher ups of the probability.
