I was at a restaurant bar in Savannah this weekend and a guy in there ordered a Yankee Screwdriver. The bartender knew what it was, and started mixing it. Turns out it was a Cranberry juice with Vodka and a twist of Lime.
I have heard it called a Cape Cod, and just a Cranberry and Vodka, but never a Yankee Screwdriver. The guy who ordered it said there are small areas in the Northeast that call it that.
The moral of this story is, it can very educational hanging out in a bar.
