I hesitate to do this since I was told on this board I was not allowed to. My suggestion is that we Astros fans treat each other with respect and not hate. We have enough challenges with our team.

Let's set the big picture for the Astros and the Cubs in 2024. I dig into the details on the site in a premium article available here.

Let me give you some FREE highlights to set the stage for the Cubs series this week.

How were the teams PROJECTED to be in 2024?

How have they been doing?

The bats seem to be doing their part and the pitching has been worse for the Astros.

What has been wrong with the batting?

Overall, the bats have generally been productive with the large exception of Abreu. As a team, however the batting with RISP have been very average or worse.

What is wrong with the pitching? Injuries and some horrible luck by critical relievers.

Notice the players in green. Their ERAs are all SIGNIFICANTLY higher than the FIPs. Their BABIPs are all UNSUSTAINABLE HIGH. Brown, Pressly, Hader, and Arrighetti all SHOULD be better.

We did a video on "What's Wrong with the Astros" here. It goes deeper into these issues and more. Please subscribe to the channel for free.

Let's hope the Astros can right the ship in Chicago and we can see the team we expected.
