Letting Beard go was the right decision for what he did. Hiring Rodney Terry is where they made the mistake. There were better options out there.
Beard = Billy Gillespie? Extremely talented, high energy, but missing a moral compass? I just looked up Gillespie. He got fired from Ranger JC for cheating and forfeited all their games. But then somehow ended up as the new coach at Tarleton.
Beard is not Gillespie. He hasn't been caught cheating. On his gf, probably, but not at basketball.
