One of the very first actions Biden took as president was to revoke the permit for the keystone pipeline and cancel other Trump administration energy rules. I am far from an economic expert, but common sense tells me that this is what is driving this whole inflation crisis. Upon Biden‘s election, the price of gas began to jump drastically, and when Biden took this action, it jumped even more drastically. Common sense tells me that because it cost producers more to get their goods to market, they had to raise their prices to continue making profits. Because producers had to raise their prices, the markets had to raise their prices to continue making profits. This is all passed on to the consumer and this is why my food budget has increased by about 40% in the last four years. Is my simplistic thinking flawed?
