I am thinking about getting a Fitbit for monitoring my heart rate while working out and my sleep patterns at night. I currently use a chest strap and watch (Timex Iron Man) that actually work really well for monitoring heart rate. My workouts are usually simple, 20-30 minutes on a treadmill varying from brisk walk to all out sprint, and then hitting weights for another 20-30 minutes.
What has been your experience with either of these two devices? I would really like some accuracy on the heart rate monitor, and it would be cool (I guess) to keep track of steps per day. Also curious on the comfort of the device on your wrist, especially while sleeping. Is the Surge worth the $100 premium over the Charge HR?
