With Vanderbilt collapsing as Power 5 program, some in the SEC are calling for their removal...others are adamant that they stay because of "tradition." How about this instead?
SEC relegates its last 2 place teams to the Conference USA and American Conference and replace them with the Champions of the 2 conferences annually?
Frankly this should become a CFB model period but it would be cool for the SEC to be the first. As for a larger model,
keep the Power 5 teams in the upper division and use relegation with the Group of 5 teams and include FCS as well.
Pros/Cons? Discuss.
