We think the playoff committee will think and see it like you do when it comes to our Longhorns. It has nothing to do with what we think should happen and everything to do with what could happen. No matter what we think, if it's between us and two other teams vying for 2 positions, there is no guarantee what will happen no matter who the 3 teams are.
That's why I keep saying that the best thing that can happen is to eliminate as many as variable as possible. The fact is, Texas is in a much better position if there are only 4 conference champions who are undefeated and/or have 1 loss and Texas is one of them. Instead of being 1 of 5 because then the committee has to make a choice. And what we think should happen doesn't mean squat. It may or may not go our way. No matter what we think.
So root for whatever scenario it takes to get to one of only 4 conference champions who are undefeated or have 1 loss. Because that gives us our best chance.
