Cliffs notes: The Longhorns can’t stop landing commitments, and the 2021 class is full steam ahead. Denton Ryan athlete Billy Bowman is the newest 2021 Texas commitment.

Rankings:

Key Offers: Bowman has already received offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame, Oregon, TCU, Virginia Tech, and many others.

Evaluation: A true two-way talent with 10.84 100-meter speed, Bowman could end up on either side of the football in college, and has the speed and skill to make an impact in special teams as a returner. While Bowman’s speed sticks out the most, he’s more than just a track guy playing football. Listed at 5-10, 170 pounds, Bowman has really impressive ball skills as a corner, and a very instinctive feel on the football field in numerous areas – breaking off big runs in the open field, reading routes and quarterbacks, and anticipating the action on either offense or defense.

Why it matters: Bowman is already regarded as a national top 100 prospect, and has a real chance to contribute on either side of the football. Most importantly, he’s a very good football player with strong instincts to enhance his elite speed.
