The Longhorns have been crazy active on the recruiting front today, with a commitment coming in from Du'Vonta Lampkin (UT's second commit in two days) and a number of scholarship offers being extended top national prospects.

Let's recap a wild day of QB offers ...

--- Shreveport Calvary Academy 2016 QB Shea Patterson, a player that has been on UT's radar for a while, picked up an official offer. Patterson visited Texas in June for the Longhorns' Elite QB Academy.

A former resident of Hidalgo, TX., Patterson had been committed to Arizona since December of 2012 but his father told us on Monday that Patterson has decommitted and is re-opening his recruitment.

Patterson, who took home QB MVP honors at the Rivals250 Underclassmen Challenge, checked in at No. 40 on today's 2016 Rivals100.

--- Top national 2016 quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. also picked up an offer on Monday.

Haskins, out of Potomac (MD) Bullis School, told us Texas now moves into his top three.

"What they have done with Teddy Bridgewater is substantial and I can tell that hey are about their quarterbacks," Haskins said. "I love the staff and am looking forward to keep building the relationship."

Haskins is ranked No. 62 on today's 2016 Rivals100.

--- Arlington Lamar quarterback Shane Buechele becomes the first in-state QB in the 2016 class to receive an offer from the Longhorn coaches.

Buechele, who was consistently sharp at the recent Texas "Under the Lights" camp, now holds offers from UT, Kentucky, Oklahoma, TCU and Texas Tech. Buechele's brother played baseball at Oklahoma and though he said he doesn't have any favorites, the dual-threat QB did grow up watching the Sooners.

--- Westlake Village (CA) quarterback Malik Henry was awarded a five-star ranking by Rivals.com on Monday (No. 9 player overall), and he too landed a Longhorn offer.

Henry, a participant in this summer's Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge, recently camped at Florida State. At the Five-Star Challenge, he mentioned the possibility of visiting both Texas and Texas A&M at some point this summer.

--- Last, but not least, the Longhorns extended a scholarship offer to top 2017 quarterback Shawn Robinson, who is set to take over the reins at Denton Guyer in 2014, replacing UT freshman Jerrod Heard.

Robinson camped at Texas in June and returned for the Under the Lights camp. An athletic playmaker that checks in at 6-2 and 194 pounds, Robinson told Orangebloods.com after the recent camp that Texas was his leader. Monday's offer had him on cloud nine.

"It's awesome. It feels really good. It means a lot. This means a lot," Robinson said. "For them to offer me, to be the only (2017) offer, that means a lot, honestly."

Texas assistant coach Shawn Watson put in a call to the staff at Guyer and Robinson returned the call to make the offer official. He was pretty excited about the conversation.

"On a scale of 1-10, it's probably a 10," Robinson said of his excitement level when he made the call to Watson. "It was crazy."

The Longhorns join Nebraska as early offers for Robinson, who said he'll take his time with the recruiting process.

"They've always been at the top," Robinson said. "They're still in the same position."
