I have been a small business in the medical field since 2005. Recently competition has come to town and nothing makes you stronger than competition. In the recent months the opposition has solicited my employees to gather information concerning my business. This week he mailed out a mailer post card claiming people finally have a choice in our town in receiving their care and they deserve to be seen by the best, which is why they are inviting patients to come to them. I’m going to keep doing what I do which is serve the patient. I work 75-80+ hours weekly in patient care, including a portion of Saturday and Sunday after church. Is it legal for him to advertise that he is the best? It was my understanding, according to the ethical portion of our practice act, that we cannot advertise that we are the best in town. Am I right or wrong?
