- “Make no mistake that a good quarterback in the portal costs, you know, a million, to $1.5 million to $2 million right now,” Matt Rhule said Wednesday.
The price won’t stop Nebraska from at least looking at its options.
But Rhule said the Huskers “believe in doing things like the old-school way” by developing the players they already have.
“When I go back and look at our quarterbacks this year, obviously you know, everyone can look at the negatives, the turnovers and all those things,” he said. “I also see a lot of positives.”
“Let’s all understand what’s happening. There are some teams that have $6-7 million dollar players playing for them.”
