Seems a lot of teams are dropping their updates this week.
Jets and Lions have dropped there, I haven’t seen much. Texans coming this week, too. Not sure what others.
The broncos, though, did a HUGE update.
At first I kinda didn’t like it. But the more I think about it, the more I think they did well here. I like classic uniforms generally—I think they need to go back to block numbering—but they got some things right, too. Plus the 1977 throwback looks good, too.
The elevation peak markers on their numbers, the 5280 on the front of the helmet, getting rid of that knife stripe that didn’t connect (seems there’s something still there, but it’s way more subtle and just on the back). The “mountain” linked on the sleeves…. I think it came together and actually stands out in not a bad way. I would do it a bit different if you have me the reins, but for Denver I think I’ve come to accept that it’s a good thing for that team in that town. Maybe I just really hated their last uniform version, too. This one seems to be better.
