The year is not done, but here is a very thorough list of notable people who have passed on in 2023. Some pretty amazing names and accomplishments. Every time I read one of these lists, it is a walk down memory lane and a reminder of our mortality. A lot of these people were titans of their field when I was in my teens and 20s.
A Longhorn on the list is Nobel prize winner Dr. John Goodenough. My favorite on the list was Cormac McCarthy. Saddest to me (but not terribly surprising) is Matthew Perry.
