Hosted a (10) player cash game last night and had one of my best nights at the table I can remember. Maybe the best night. I kept hitting my card time after time and more often than not it was against an opponent who had a hand that was difficult if not impossible to lay down.
Biggest pot came toward the end of the night when I had 8-9 suited and flopped a 6-7-8-9-10 straight. Two other guys flopped sets (trip 10s and trip 7s). Also had a big slick that stuck around through the turn who opened with a 5x big blind raise. That pot alone was $250+. Other notables were a full house that beat another full house, A high flush over a K-Q high flush and multiple sets taking down two pair. It was just flowing like a river and it was glorious.
I’d say I walked away with at 10x-12x my original $50 buy in. Only thing that would have made it sweeter would have been if it was on one of our $100 buy in cash games we do once or twice a year.
