Was there anything funnier/sadder/dumber last night than ESPN cutting to the live feed of the Spencer Rattler Draft Party? First of all...WHY did ESPN have a camera or care about any video of Spencer Rattler other than this is a player who has pulled a Felipe Lopez (if you're an OLD you'll understand) and went from "the next great QB" to the "Oh yeah, is that guy still playing?"
Secondly - are we really supposed to believe that NO ONE in his camp said "Hey Spence...not only do QBs not go in the 2nd round but you might not want to sit by your TV until the 4-7th round"
But Wait...there's more! After seeing Spence and all his peeps crowded around their TV (you know all his boys are saying "man they don't know anything! you're better than him...you should've been the #1 pick...you'll go next...") the ESPN reporter who is dealing with laryngitis or the flu or allergies or a recent death in the family bc his voice was cracking and barely discernable...dude spent 2 minutes on 1) how Rattler's not very good 2) his character issues 3) his worth ethic....meanwhile they're showing the Rattler Draft Party...how proud he and his folks must be to be watching ESPN and hearing all this announced (not that we didn't already know) to the world....or maybe they were watching the NFL Network feed and didn't see any of it
Still....waste or time and talent...good luck in NFL Europe if that's still a thing
