No, not full time. But he is a big kid, and has always been a pretty good pass rusher, just lacks the elite burst around the edge to ever really take that next step.
He should focus on bulking a bit (not like he’s gonna lose much speed) and at the very least he could be brought in on 3rd and 7s or more into the interior as a pass rusher. Theoretically in a passing situation, we could have Moore/Sorrell/Collins/Simmons across the line and line Ant Hill up wherever. We could go from unable to generate any pass rush to deadly in passing situations next year.
Who knows maybe Sorrell can transition into an interior guy. Probably what’s needed to go to the next level, if he can get strong enough. Or maybe his frame is maxed out?
