Texas and Michigan currently are discussing the possibility of a home-and-home series in the future, according to several sources. The dates of those possible games are currently unknown, but it will likely be in the 2020s.

According to sources, both schools have discussed the possibility of facing each other, but an agreement has not been reached. They are currently working on scheduling, and talks between both schools have gone very well.

The partnership makes sense because Michigan's rivalry against Notre Dame recently ended after being off-and-on for more than 100 years. Notre Dame defeated Michigan, 31-0, this season to end the series.

Notre Dame announced it would play Ohio State, Michigan's hated rival. Many college observers viewed it as a slap in the face to Michigan.

A series between Texas and Michigan would feature two of the biggest programs in college football. Michigan has already added Oklahoma and Washington to future schedules.

Michigan and Texas faced each in the Rose Bowl during the 2004 season. Texas defeated Michigan, 38-37, as Dusty Mangum nailed a 38-37 field goal as time expired. That game was the only meeting between both schools.

In 121 years, Texas has compiled an 876-339-33 record, while Michigan is 911-322-36 in 134 years.
