MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU...and may it be with the Horns today.

For the first Saturday in nearly two months, the Horns enter Saturday looking to take the series instead of hoping to hang on and survive. The most important thing for the Horns is to have a short memory, regardless of the fact that they won last night. Oklahoma State is a solid baseball club with some very dangerous hitters, as Texas saw first hand last night. In addition, the Pokes will have their staff ace on the mound today in Brian Holiday. While his record is just 4-3 in 11 starts, he has a 0.95 WHIP and hitters are batting just .211 against. In addition, he has struck out 81 and walked just 13 on the season.

Regardless of that, the Horns have another massive opportunity in front of them as a series win against the #14 team in the nation would go a long way towards solidifying the the Horns post season chances and keep them firmly in the race for a Big 12 regular season title. Looking at the Big 12, here are current standings.

As things stand, BYU and Houston almost certainly will not make the Big 12 Tournament.
