If we were merely logical, the future would be bleak indeed. But we are more than logical. We are human beings, and we have faith and we have hope, and we can work.
~~~~~~~~~~ Jacques Cousteau
What is faith? It is believing in possibilities. Like our Queen Mrs T-Sipper is fond of saying, it's believing there's an ocean even though all you can see is a tiny stream. It is the ability to carry on with our plans, and continue our work, even when we're discouraged. It is continuing to pour our heart into a relationship, even in those times when someone else cannot.
If there were no reason for doubt, there would be no need for faith. That faith enables us to shelve our doubts and keep working toward our goals, trusting that help and support will be there for us even though they're not yet in view. "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1.
It's natural to question ourselves, and to have doubts, but let's not be consumed by those doubts, preferring instead to go with faith and hope.
Blessings to you all for your continued encouragement of one another.
NT
James 1:6
In memory of Allen Jones, who found faith when it was in short supply.
