If we are to succeed, we must place more value on one than the other. Our actions will reveal which is more important to us. Is it finding ways to succeed, or is it looking for ways to excuse our failures? There's a lesson for us here.
The other lesson is to be humble in victory. Mrs. NativeTex is a Tech grad. Today would be a very good day for me to practice humility, and it would be thoughtless of me, for example, to set out a bottle of (Heinz) 57 sauce on the kitchen counter, or go around singing "57 channels and nothin' on." More to the point, it could affect my longevity.
Enjoy the day my friends. Bask in the sunshine of a W. We'll get back to business tomorrow. There is after all another game to be played. Isn't there always?
