Alamo Heights 2025 ATH Michael Terry picked up a Texas offer. He said he talked to Tashard Choice and Steve Sarkisian today. He can do a little bit of everything on the football field and said no specific position was discussed, but he likes to think of himself as an offensive player. TCU visit next weekend. “Texas is definitely up there,” Terry said. Schools standing out along with Texas … TCU, Texas A&M.

2026 ATH London Smith said it was a great visit. Loved the atmosphere of the hoops game, said he really likes the message from Sark that was more about just football. Spent a lot of time talking to DB coach Terry Joseph. Texas would be in his top two, along with Oregon. “I really love Texas.” Interestingly, he said he and Kobe Black are cousins.

Seguin 2025 WR Carterrious Brown talked to Chris Jackson and some of the other coaches and said it was a really good trip. He likes coach Jackson’s straight-forward approach. Baylor next weekend and UTEP the first weekend of February. “Top five for sure,” he said of Texas.

Summer Creek DE Chad Woodfork said he enjoyed the entire visit. He’s open but said Texas is “up there for sure.” Dropped a top nine and said he’ll probably commit after he takes his OVs in the summer. Will probably take OVs to Texas, Texas Tech and USC. Will probably visit Baylor next weekend.

2025 OL Dramodd Odoms has a bunch of offers but Texas told him they want to continue to evaluate him a bit. “They wanted to let me know they’re very interested in me,” he said. Checked in at 6-6 and 271. Next week he’ll probably go to TCU or Oklahoma. LSU, Houston, Oregon, A&M are among the schools standing out.

Pflugerville Weiss 2026 OL JJ Mays said it was good to hear all of the coaches’ presentations on how they develop players and the depth of the program. He hasn’t been offered yet but got some time with coach Flood today for a brief conversation. Flood was by his school recently. Said Flood is one of his favorite coaches overall. Will be at A&M next weekend.

Dekaney WR Tanook Hines said the whole experience stood out, including going to the hoops game and the love showed by the Texas coaches. Said he’s looking at about 10 schools and Texas is definitely in that group. Loves the offense under Sark and he grew up watching Texas. Going to A&M and Baylor next weekend.

I believe Anthony “Deuce” Williams was the only UT commit at the junior day. He said it was great coming in as a committed player and he was busy working on some Houston-area guys. Said he’s ready to get to Austin and get to work already.

McKinney LB Riley Pettijohn said he loved getting to talk to coach Sark and Johnny Nansen. Liked the atmosphere of the basketball game too. The coaches let him know he’s a priority for them and said they were excited to get him back on campus. Texas A&M visit next week. Texas is in the top five. Loves that it’s close to home and has friends on the team.

Kamauryn Morgan has transferred from Red Oak to South Oak Cliff. Said it’s amazing people at Texas and everything went well. Got to sit down and talk with coach Sark. “Amazing guy. Love him.” Talked to Pete Kwiatkowski as well. Said Texas is “easily” a top five school. Facilities, success on the field, going to the SEC has Texas in a good position. Will be at SMU and Baylor next weekend.

Clear Springs DB Zach Parish may go to A&M. Said he loves that the UT coaches always show love. Mainly talks to Blake Gideon. No offer yet but Texas told him they’ll continue to evaluate him. Yale, UTEP, Texas Tech and A&M also have been talking to him.

Carthage 2026 RB KJ Edwards said he was impressed by the fans at the basketball game. Loves the all-around strength of the team … football, academics, fan base. Said he thinks he’d fit in well with UT’s offensive scheme. Baylor and SMU visits soon and Georgia sometime in the spring.

Tyler Chapel Hill ATH Demetrius Brisbon was one of two SMU commitments at the junior day. Brisbon already held a UT offer and said he’s keeping an open mind with his recruitment and exploring all options. Texas talking to him more as a DB. Has a young son so staying close to home is very important to him. Texas is in his top three and he plans to take an OV to UT.

The other SMU commitment was Brison’s teammate, RB Rickey Stewart, and he picked up a Texas offer today. Said he likes coach Choice a lot. Said the winning attitude of the program stood out and how it had a family feel. Committed to SMU but schools like Texas, Oregon, TCU, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State still coming after him. Supposed to go to Baylor next Sunday.

Bridgeland OL Jonte Newman said last summer when he picked up a UT offer that Texas was his dream school. The Longhorns are still in a really good spot. Got some time with the UT coaches, including Kyle Flood. Flood told him Texas is where he needs to go if he wants to get to the NFL. Will be at A&M and Houston next week. Texas, OU, Bama and USC are some of the schools standing out.

IMG LB Gavin Nix and his father really enjoyed the visit. Said he has a great relationship with Tashard Choice. First time to get to Texas and said he really enjoyed it. Plans to come back for an official visit. Former IMG teammates Jordon Johnson-Rubell and Jerrick Gibson talk to him a lot about Texas and how much there is to do in Austin beyond just football. He’ll be at Miami and Florida State in the next couple weeks. He doesn’t have an actual list of favorites but Texas made a strong impression.

Texas seems like it’s in a really good spot for Port Neches-Groves offensive lineman Jackson Christian. He’s trying to keep an open mind but it’s pretty clear Texas is a strong contender. Loves the culture and said it’s just great people at Texas. Likes that Texas has gotten better each year under Sark. Might go to TCU junior day next week. A&M on February 3. Texas is the first big school to offer prior to last year’s state championship and that carries some weight with him. Doesn’t have a firm timeline but also didn’t rule out an early commitment.

2026 QB Will Griffin (Tampa Jesuit) loved the visit. Got to sit down with coach Milwee and was very impressed with the presentation given by Sark. Said the stadium was very impressive, as are UT’s academics and Texas’ development of players. Texas takes its time with QBs to make sure they offer the right guys and he said he’s fine with that. He’s seen a lot of programs and wanted to see how UT compared. “Texas compares great to some huge schools and I definitely think they’re ready to play some SEC ball.”

DT Floyd Guidry said Texas is his leader, even without a DL coach. No, he wasn’t told who the next DL coach is going to be. Will probably commit in February or March so if the new DL coach pushes, this could be one to watch closely. Also likes LSU and recently was offered by Bo Davis there.

Pearland Shadow Creek wide receiver Jacorey Watson said it was a good experience, getting to hang out with the coaches and gets some time with them. They were talking about schemes, depth charts, things like that. Teammate Deuce Williams has been on him every day about getting him to join him at Texas. He’ll be at LSU next weekend. Feels like a UT-LSU battle to me. Ole Miss and Mizzou also in the mix.

Crosby RB Wesley Yarbrough doesn’t have a UT offer but the coaches told him to keep working and they’ll continue to evaluate him. Loved the message from coach Sark at the end of the junior day. Going to Georgia on February 3.

Bastrop 2026 DT Tiki Hola said it was a great visit. First time seeing Sark face to face, said he can really see what they’re building at Texas. Got some one-on-one time with Sark. He and his dad also talked to coach Nansen. No other visits on the schedule right now. “I love it here.”

North Crowley 2026 OL John Turntine said the entire experience was great. Got to see the campus and the facilities more than he had on previous visits. Talked to coach Flood, who told him to enjoy the experience he’s getting and soak it all in. Checked in at 298 pounds today on his 6-5 frame. Said Texas definitely stands out. OU, Miami also stand out early.

Bridgeland OL Ryan Fodge picked up a UT offer today. Said it felt good to get that offer. Said coach Flood and Sark are awesome coaches. Loved the facilities too. Will be at A&M and Houston next weekend.

Pearland Shadow Creek CB Cobey Sellers got a chance to meet with Terry Joseph and get some one-on-one time. Also met Sark’s wife today and said she kept it real with the recruits. Texas, Oklahoma and Georgia standing out and A&M making a push lately.

2026 RB Tradarian Ball (Texas High) said it was a great visit. Really likes coach Choice and feels he’s one of the best coaches in the country. Got to look around the whole school today and see things beyond just football. The coaches’ message was that if you come there, you’re going to have to work hard but they’ll prepare you for the NFL. Going to Miami on 27th and probably A&M on February 3.

Flower Mound 2026 OL Drew Evers likes coach Sark and his morals. Said he’s about character over talent. A&M visit coming up, will see SMU and maybe Baylor. Said he’s taking into consideration every school that has offered him. Said the facilities stood out the most today.

Jasper TE Kiotti Armstrong said he liked the environment and how the coaches interact with their players. Sark and Banks talked to him about how he could fit in their scheme. Saw former teammate Tyanthony Smith today, and Smith was recruiting him to Texas. Banks talked to him about being able to play off the ball and on the ball. Had a good conversation with Sark as well. He’ll be at Miami next weekend.
