UT Saturday main graduation ceremony question

My son is graduating at UT Austing this weekend. Friday will be a ceremony for his petroleum engineering program. Then another ceremony Saturday night. I guess the main ceremony for everyone is Saturday night. What is different or special about the one Saturday night? Is it just more of the same as the Friday night events?
