I think your first two words sum up your point; hypocrisy.

    EOT

Nice pivot. I think the discussion about EOT has no merit. The song is loosely tied to something that may have been racist IMO. The University should keep it. The emails from donors which were published are more troubling. One of the many things I look forward to on the second Saturday in...

Pay "distortion", forced labor, and murder; you said everyone was paid for work after 1865. Kind of like saying all Americans had equal rights in the 1900's. The fact that you say you are pretty sure no one was forced to work on the railroad explains the gap of reality and perceived reality...

I agree...there should be serious concerns about China on all fronts.

    EOT

Your history lessons were horribly distorted if that is what you took from them. While Chinese immigrants were sometimes paid their pay was ridiculously low, much lower than white counterparts. Further the work was brutal and some were forced or else. Think sweatshops except with immigrants...

Both of those qb's appear to be superior in other attributes. Newton was/is a freak athlete, although I would agree Winston is more questionable. I didn't say the kid ain't good, I said he throwing motion is long and his footwork seemed slow. I also said with the new head coach he would be...

WTF? First Carr in that group is ridiculous. So Mahomes, Rodgers, and Stafford are on your list for bad footwork? Geesus. No shit they have big arms, evidently you can't get past that attribute to see their footwork is above average to great. Rodgers may have the best footwork of all time...

    Texas Recruiting

I get it and I'm saying a qb's footwork is NOT highly overrated. If the throwing base is not strong the throws will not be good or repeatable. Look at it the other way: list the qb's with shitty footwork that are great in college and/or the pro's?

    Texas Recruiting

Yeah I am gonna disagree. A flat footed qb has more to overcome. QB's identified as good a good throwing qb are usually equipped with good hips. Footwork for a qb is a big deal whether simply dropping back to pass or rolling (scramble) and getting reset -or- throwing properly on the run.

I think what he is saying is it s a good thing and a bad thing. Slow feet and a long throwing motion causes alot of sacks and some picks. Strong arm with accuracy helps overcome this. My take is if the head coach likes him the young man will do well.

I like your assessment. I think he is slower foot wise than most think...but I think Texas is about to experience what Sooner fans do: a head coach that can coach the hell out of qb's.

Hey guys the 2021 schedule is out today

I believe the game will stay in Dallas. Too much monies for local municipality, as well as the County. Jerry should be working on replacing his gas company's CEO that was celebrating a jackpot last week.

You are correct, that was what was supposed to happen. However, I would submit, due to a lack of leadership, preparation, and infrastructure the system failed millions of Texans. I will be interested mostly in the revelations behind ERCOT and who they answer to, and how their power has grown...

OT{ Its Colder than a Eskimo Party

I guess I do not see them mutually exclusive. My initial reaction is build less windmills, turbines, or whatever they are called and simply prepare them for extreme conditions (hot or cold). I am not sure how this eliminates the responsibility of State leadership and ERCOT from being better...

Some good points. I don't know if you have seen World War Z, but I like the tenth man rule as it relates to being prepared among other things. And while Texas does not get this cold for this long, we do get really hot for months at a time. This can be just as stressful on the grid. Bottom...

So Leadership did not make the right choices as it relates to where and how much monies were spent as well as identifying the importance of rolling out infrastructure to protect the State's power grid? I do not consider myself green, and do not believe what just happen was political, but I do...
