ALWAYS WIN ON SUNDAY. Coach Pierce always says that on Sundays you are looking for Sweep, Series or Survive. Today, Texas is absolutely looking to survive after a heart breaker on Friday night and getting battered on Saturday. What will be the feeling in the ball club today? Will they come out with energy and a desire to strike back or will they get smacked around again? According to Austin Todd, he expects the players to come out with a lot of energy and ready to rock. No one doubts that Texas can respond when their backs are against the wall, but can they take advantage of a pitcher in Mederos who has a 6.55 ERA and has suffered from command and confidence issue? I believe the answer is yes, but that is not the question on everyone's minds. Can the Texas Longhorns find a reliever that can throw strikes and get outs late in the game? Harrison has not been used this weekend, so I would expect to certainly see him come out of the pen after Gordon departs. Blair is another one that we will likely see. Make no doubt about it, there is a lot on the line today and the Horns MUST come out and respond.
