Stephen Tobolowsky is an actor who has been in everything from Groundhog Day (he's Ned Ryerson, the insurance salesman who keeps trying to sell Bill Murray insurance) to a great role in "Silicon Valley" to dozens of other famous roles. He grew up in Oak Cliff with Stevie Ray and Jimmie Vaughan. Here he tells an absolutely fabulous story about the first time Stevie Ray played with his band. It's a CLASSIC story and Stephen tells it so well and so humbly and graciously. Best of all is that the recording Stephen talks about, "Red, White and Blue" is on YouTube. It's the first thing Stevie Ray ever recorded and I guarantee you that none of y'all have ever heard it before. But listen to this story. Absolutely fantastic. Really, REALLY super!
Here's the first-ever recording of Stevie Ray Vaughan at the age of 14.
