So um...... ya-- basically our tier 1 SOF guys raided the Alamodome in an exercise which was meant to obviously simulate something-- because they don't just go and train for no reason-- so the question is-- are they training to clear out multiple threats that have taken a stadium hostage?

Tier 1 guys' time is valuable. For instance, they aren't going to be sent on a training exercise where they practice against an invading hoard of Martians..... nor do they grab scuba gear and go practice shooting sharks with lasers on their heads.

Nope. They practice real world possibilities. Specifically threats that have been identified by the alphabet agencies as "imminent" or highly likely. So somewhere in the intellegence apparatus, someone has seen a threat to stadiums and/or sporting events (at some point). And the brain trust at DIA see it as a plausible event so-- now whe have guys training to clear out a 65,000 seat sports stadium.

My question is-- what group(s) do they think have the operational capacity to pull off an event like this?
OR-- is this simply training for a lone shooter that enters into a stadium crowded with people and starts a mass casualty event and JSOC is brought in to neutralize the shooter?

Because, like I said-- they don't train fir this stuff if it's not likelybto happen.

Football season starting and we just knocked off a the top al qaeda guy. Probably think they are going to retaliate in some way. Maybe at a sports stadium...

This can cover many different scenarios. Events such as a violent version of Jan 6 involving an actual coup, a mass human shield like Hamas using Mosques and schools, or even learning how to best manage a strategic siege like the Ukrainians holed up in an iron factory. I'm curious as to if they brought in a ton of young enlisted role players to fill in some seats. That would definitely narrow down the interned objectives.
Social media from people in the unannounced playground neighborhood has been hilarious albeit pretty frightening for them. Not many have experienced the sounds of night ops. 😆

My guess is that the power they got from J6 and Trump raids has aroused them so much that they are preparing for more deplorable roundups.

I'll tell you this-- when those little birds came in lined up nuts to butts-- that's some impressive flying. Those 4 helos were lined up perfectly. Those dudes are obviously talented.
I know you cats very rarely wear identifying insignias when you are-- pretty much anywhere-- but I also know that there's times where gear can make dudes more identifiable. The dudes coming out of the blackhawk-- and then loitering at the staging area- Army?

Everything I see is Army. Likely has a couple inbed as well. Does anyone know if they have a mockup inside the dome?

Talked to my other half who called her SAPD SWAT cuz. Said there were no additional apparatus brought in as far as he knew.

I imagine they are prepping for the world cup in Qatar.
Honestly-- they could be prepping for pretty much anything.

Years ago --- 2003ish- I was in London for a meeting. I was green, was there to listen and take notes and make an assessment. After the parlay, I went and had drinks with a couple of the attendees-- younger guys like me. We were in Marble Arch and talking in a corner table about the meeting and the subject of attacks at stadiums came up. I was told (almost in stern fashion) that Muslims would never attack a sporting event because it served no "political or establishment" purpose to do so.

I think the rules have changed since then.

But as it stands, the hardline Muslim community has been pretty silent over the last few years. Perhaps they've exhausted their viable candidates of would be suicide bombers.

Calm before the storm. Makes you wonder what they are planning and where.

Here's some Chairborne Rangers playing paintball down in Georgia.
