Texas opens Big 12 play on the road as they square off against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. This will be the first time that Texas Baseball has been to Lubbock since the 2018 series due to the Covid shortened 2020 season. In case you missed my preview thread, read it here (Weekend Review Thread). While the Horns should not expect the same crowd intensity that was seen by the Texas Basketball team, it is possible that this weekend could see a record crowd between the Horns and Red Raiders. For reference, the largest crowd ever at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park is 4,833 which was set on June 8, 2019 for the Super Regional game between Texas Tech and Oklahoma State.
