I don’t think I could handle being around this at this point in my life. There are people getting married on the floor of the convention. Two guys are swapping slaps to the face until one passes out. A lady wearing a “We Can Do It!” Rosie the Riveter t-shirt is challenging a priest to a game of quarters. Two guys just kissed.
Do the Astros have a game tonight? That’s how much I’m watching this convention.

A friend of mine in college, his folks were close and donated gobs of money; he had a Rolex from Ron & Nancy for high school graduation, with an inscription on the back. He had the new vette with Presidential Inaugural plates that were good for 1985 in any state. He got me in to meet Ronnie, I’ll never forget it.
