So looking at Rivals 2026 ratings. There is not a single Texas high school cornerback rated in the top 38 cornerbacks in the nation. How? Ohio has 5, Florida has 6, Georgia has 5 and California has 9.
Is this an anomaly? Bad ratings by Rivals? A failure of Texas high school teams and coaches?
I don't get it. In a football obsessed state, with a huge population, sophisticated passing games and highly paid high school coaches and expensive facilities, how is there a -0- in the top cornerback area?
For comparison Texas had six in the top 38 in 2025. Perhaps suggesting an anomaly.
The six went to A&M, OU, TCU, Oregon, Texas and Ohio State.
