Can't get to the QB with 3 DL unless all 3 are JJ Watt.
Patterson ran a 3 man front the whole time he was at TCU……like 15 years

Historically our best “modern” defenses-whether Coach Robinson, Coach Chizik, or Coach Muschamp- all successfully applied pressure rushing FOUR, and usually had press/man coverage with DBs. We could stop all sorts of offenses- run/shoot, spread, conventional pro-style, and even the wishbone. This crap of rushing 3 with soft zone backfield failed after Muschamp left, it failed Strong, it failed Herman, and now it’s failing Sark. This style of defense sets all kinds of historically bad records every year we use it. I just hope Sark realizes it needs to be abandoned before it’s too late.

We have to have 4. We don't have Dlinemen that are crazed animals. You have to be relentless. You can't get to the QB with 3 unless they are meat eaters.
Does anyone here think PK is let go by Monday? I say no unless Sark is forced to let him go. The bigger question is would GP take the job if it's offered to him?
I don’t think GP can take the job as it affects his TCU buyout. They’re basically still paying him what’s left on his contract.

When is Patterson calling the shots on defense behind the scenes? The Alabama game? The 2nd half of UTSA? Is it PK's defense the rest of the time?
It was always going to be this way. When the defense plays well Patterson gets credit. But when they struggle it’s PK’s fault. Ultimately though it’s been pretty good until yesterday. We have definitely improved as a run defense but our secondary is still suspect.
A lot of the struggles I saw yesterday were scheme. Every time we rushed 5 we got to the QB and he made some errant throws. PK’s scheme is just way to conservative.
They never got pressure when they brought 3. They were having to bring 5 to 6 guys to get pressure. Our o line only gave up 1 sack all game. Card just has a tendency to hold on to the ball too long.

I love LC, but JJ and the 1st 4 guys on my list are in a league of their own.
Our offensive line has 2 freshman. They aren’t the reason we are losing games though. They have performed above expectations in my opinion.
He might be a steeler's fan.
Although I'm not a cowboys fan I'd might add Harvey Martin and Ed Jones to that list. 👍
Unfortunately Lilly was before my time. Never seen him in action. I understand though he's revered as the greatest cowboy ever. 👍
Lilly spent his career at DT, and I was listing DE's. However, Bob Lily was an absolute freak. He would easily be in that top group and I would argue that he is the best player in Cowboy history.
It should be illegal to mention Bob Lily and Randy White in the same sentence.
Charles Haley should be near the top of that list too. Go watch Charles Haley dominate teams during the 90's Cowboy run.
Charles Haley is my favorite Cowboy of all time. He was a big part of those Super Bowls in the 90’s. He put those defenses over the top when he showed up. He was one mean mfer!
They have all had their moments. But I think they have all played above expectations. I for sure thought the Bama game would expose them but they held up well. Banks has been miles above what I thought he would be as well.
Next year we should be in really good shape up front. We are going to have some really nice depth as well.
Charles Haley is certifiably insane.
I heard a story that he and Jimmy Johnson got in an argument once, and he pissed on the carpet in Jimmy's office.
I have also heard that he would routinely masturbate during meetings.
Hutson has been quite a struggle.
I meant to add that Jake Majors is not good enough and that Christian Jones falls asleep at times.
Banks and Conner (LT-LG) have been our two best OL IMO. Jones a close 3rd. Majors and Hutson have not gelled and are causing issues in the run game and pass pro
I really wish we could get a good look at our other Freshmen.
