Texas Baseball is back! After a short(er) and much happier drive back home on Sunday from Arlington, the Horns welcome UT-RGV to Disch-Falk Field for a game tonight. As expected, EK is being held out to rest his hammy so that he is 100% before this weekend's series against TCU.

Austin Todd is back in the lineup as DH, while DC slides over into LF and Murph takes RF. Without EK being in the lineup, Pierce has once again shifted the lineup around a bit and has Hodo to lead off and Murph up to the number two hole, while Silas will act as protector for Ivan in the four hole. Silas had a very nice game last year against UT-RGV hitting a home run and scoring 5 RBI in what ended up being a 7 inning blow out. Texas could certainly use a shortened game tonight to get some extra rest before the Frogs arrive on Friday.

Also, in case you missed, it three, yes three Horns made the Golden Spikes mid-season watch list. Stehly, Hansen and Melendez have been excellent this season for the Longhorns and deserve to be on the watch list. Hopefully they stay on the list to the very end this season.
